What Does This Switch Do?
The neutral switch assembly detects when the gear shift is in the neutral position on your Suzuki outboard. It is a critical safety component — it prevents the engine from starting in gear and may also interact with the trim and tilt system. A faulty neutral switch can cause starting issues, warning alarms, or prevent the engine from cranking.
